Eighteen platforms carrying real workloads: county public financial management and e-procurement, project accountability, agriculture, education and asset registries, and private-sector ERP and inventory software. Each entry sets out the problem, the solution and my role in it, and the technology behind it.

Problem
County departments each plan budgets, commit spend and collect revenue, and all of it has to reconcile into one auditable picture for treasury and oversight bodies. Spreading that across disconnected records makes reporting slow and reconciliation manual.
Solution & role
Engineered and maintained the backend services and underlying data model for budgeting and expenditure workflows. Architected RESTful APIs integrating with banks and payment gateways so transactions flow in without re-keying, and optimised SQL queries to keep reporting responsive as the ledger grows.
Impact
Budget planning, commitments and revenue collection reconcile into a single auditable record for treasury and oversight bodies, with bank and gateway transactions captured automatically rather than re-entered by hand.

Suppliers Registration Portal

Problem
Any vendor bidding for county work must register and prequalify first. Handling that through physical paperwork limits who can realistically apply and slows procurement officers reviewing submissions.
Solution & role
Delivered the online registration path end to end: category selection, document upload, server-side validation and a review queue procurement staff work through. Access is scoped so vendors only ever see their own submission.
Impact
Vendor registration and prequalification run online rather than on paper, widening the pool that can realistically apply and giving procurement officers one queue to assess submissions in.

Problem
Development projects run across every ward and department, and citizens have a legitimate claim on knowing what was promised, what it cost and how far it has got. Without a shared register that question is answered department by department.
Solution & role
Engineered the platform the county uses to publish project status openly, described on the system itself as improving efficiency, transparency and accountability in tracking projects across the county. Work covered the project data model, status workflows and the public-facing views.
Impact
Development projects across every ward and department report into one public register, so what was promised, what it cost and how far it has progressed is answerable from a single source rather than department by department.

Problem
Students chasing internships, industrial attachment, mentorship or volunteer placements had to approach departments one at a time, and the county had no single view of who had been placed where.
Solution & role
Engineered the platform connecting students to opportunities across county departments: applications, placement records and the administrative layer that lets officers manage intake centrally rather than field it by phone and letter.

Problem
Extension advice reaches farmers through field officers whose reach is limited by distance and headcount, while farmer records sat outside any central system that could inform planning.
Solution & role
Engineered the county's centralised platform for managing farmer data and delivering agricultural guidance digitally, carrying innovations, best practices and productivity insights to farmers through e-extension rather than physical visits alone.
Impact
Extension advice reaches farmers beyond the limits of field officer headcount and travel distance, and farmer records now sit in one county-managed store available for planning.

Problem
Teams, fixtures, results and playing grounds were tracked informally, leaving the directorate without a dependable picture of participation when allocating facilities and funding.
Solution & role
Engineered the public register covering fixtures, results and teams, replacing informal tracking with structured, queryable records.
Impact
The register now holds 45 disciplines, 845 registered teams and 564 sports grounds across 30 wards in six sub counties as structured data, giving the directorate a dependable participation picture to allocate facilities and funding against.
