Software engineer, public-sector and enterprise systems.

I am Martin Mbithi, a software engineer based in Kenya. I work across backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure and security, and most of my work has been on systems that handle money, statutory records or public services.

Since 2023 I have worked in the Applications Development section at the Government of Makueni County. Our team builds and hosts the county's software in-house. That includes myMakueni, the county's enterprise resource planning platform, which consolidates finance, planning, health, human resources and citizen engagement onto one platform, and the thirteen county systems linked from it.

Before that I worked as an ICT officer at the ICT Authority, built mobile applications for an NGO, and developed web applications and ERP support for a college and two private companies. I hold an MSc in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics and a BSc in Computer Science.
